05-21-17 Monica & Todd Gwyer Wedding

This was the second wedding of the week! I’m not complaining because I love weddings. It’s such a good time for people to get dressed up and enjoy the happiness of a couple that is getting married.

I met the bride at the hotel where she was getting ready at. The groom was also getting ready at the hotel. The bride was super cool in wanting to take pictures but the groom wasn’t. The groom was like other grooms I’ve had in the past where they will show up and be done with it, lol. It’s okay, this type of groom are very easy to work with. I just tell them what to do and they do it. Especially if they know it’s what the wife wants 😉

I went to the Sheraton Hotel in Lisle, IL. This hotel was big, had parking spots and was easy to find. I went up to the bride’s room and took detail shots of her dress and jewelry, etc. The bride was getting hair and makeup done so I went to the groom and got pictures of him by himself.

We then headed off to The Morton Arboretum. If you haven’t gone to this place, you have to check it out. I’ve been out there a couple of times but never had the chance to enjoy it on my free time, one I day I plan to. Anyways, we headed there and they were going to do the first look. Which is great because we can get the pictures done and they can enjoy much of the evening with their guests.

There were beautiful places to take pictures at. There was a lot of green, which was awesome because we took pictures in different spots and every spot was perfect for the different types of pictures they wanted.

After pictures, we had the ceremony which we were almost rained on but luckily, it didn’t rain. It just turned cloudy. Ceremony was only about 8 minutes. Boom! Groom was happy 🙂 There was a violinist there and she played beautifully. Her name is Vicki and this is her email: violinbyvicki (AT) att.net If you are interested email her for your next event.

The reception was nice and smooth. The bride and groom even let me take a few pictures outside once the sun went down and it turned out awesome!
