12-31-2020 Thankful for another year

Farewell 2020! This year made me be more thankful for everything and especially everyone in my life. A couple of people I know died this year and it was crazy how close death can be. I know it’s always there but when it touches someone you know, you tend to reflect and make sure you leave things in order in case something were to happen.

I have taken this year to work more on me. I was home a lot of the time when we were quarantined. I played the guitar, I bought a Ukulele that I have been wanting to learn to play. I went out and rode my bike, which I haven’t done in many years. I did a lot of outside activities at my house of course.

I was still working from home, luckily I could do that in my case, while I know a lot of people had to go out and work or were laid off. Even though I was working from home, money wise was not the same. As you know I am a photographer and all of my weddings I had for this year were either cancelled or post-pone for next year. I had 3 events that I did which I was thankful but not the usual work that I normally have. I am a real estate agent and I had to go out and show houses, I wore mask and gloves but it was still kind of scary cause you don’t know people’s habits. Luckily I didn’t get COVID.

I talked to my family through Zoom or just FaceTime them. This year we were suppose to have my great-grandmother’s 100th birthday party and that was cancelled of course. Now everyone is hoping that next year we can all get together. From my understanding there are more than 200 people just direct blood relatives, a lot whom I don’t know. I didn’t travel at all out of the country, which I normally do to visit family, until next year I hope.

I am wishing you a Happy New Year, stay safe and stay healthy…

I hope to see you next year!
